After watching many people in my surrounding preparing fro Administrative Services from last so much time I realized that qualifying IAS is not simply a preparation but it requires an attitude.
The unexamined life is not worth living. — Socrates
Though my attitude was not high enough to set my aim to this position but in case some one aiming to this exam should keep following tips which I have compiled for you:
- Try to visit as many places as one can, it enhanes our General Knowlege bacause we correlate the incidents, events and happenings geographically more clearly in our brain.
- Make a habit to listen All India Radio Prasar Bharati Morning and Evening News bulletins without a miss. Also grab local news of radio. This is the best news available for. It saves your lots of reading and the unnecessary drama created in Private Channel Television News wher one exaggrated news clipping is repaeted hundredes of times.
- Do not listen to music when you study. Music relaxes you but you may not perform well when no music is played. To get used to examination conditions where there is no music and sitting alone, one should always practise examination papers in similar conditions of limited time pressure.
- Develop a hobby of writing current events as a responsibility of citizen journalism when you dig some information on Internet in order to create some article it surely enhances your knowledeg gradually.
